The quality policy at GDI is very simple, that is, by following ISO standards one hundred percent. GDI was certified with ISO 9001:2000 by TUV Anlagentechnik GmbH on November 11, 2002.
Not only are all employees trained in ISO standards, but ISO standards are practiced by all employees throughout the facility at all times.
To optimize color matching of the parts, a Spectrophotometer is used to check material colors prior to production runs.
An in-house Melt Flow Index Tester is used to test each incoming batch of raw resin.
To measure the physical dimensions of parts, we use height gages, a Coordinate measuring machine and Video Measurement (a 3-D measurement device ABERLINK-AXIOM 665 CNC 3-D Measurement System from the UK that was introduced in November of 2007).
To test painted parts, we use an Abrasion Tester to ensure the proper painting or printing process on the part.
To test the chemical or thermal properties of a molded part, we utilize the Taiwan Plastic Center to do the testing. This insures the most accurate test results.
At all times, GDI’s goal is 100% quality, with 0% return. However, if there are any rejected parts, we will replace the parts first without question, and then perform an analysis to find the root cause of the rejection in order to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
